Every year, Dentistry.co.uk recognises the best of the best in the UK dental laboratory industry through its prestigious Laboratory Leading 20 awards. The list celebrates the technicians, innovators, and leaders who continue to shape the future of dental technology with passion, precision, and progress. This year, 2025, marks another milestone for the industry and an especially proud moment for Bremadent and Swissedent founder, Kash Qureshi, who has been named one of the Top 20 Dental Technicians in the UK for the second year in a row.
The Swissedent Franchise Opportunity
When you think of dentures, you probably think of something your nan used to keep in a glass by the sink. But modern dentures are a world away from that image, and so is the way we deliver them. The Swissedent franchise is redefining denture care in the UK by combining clinical expertise, laboratory precision, and a brand that has built trust since the 1950s. For associate dentists, dental practices, Clinical Dental Technicians and DSOs looking for a smarter, more profitable way to grow, this is an opportunity worth paying attention to. Understanding Clinical Dental Technicians in the UK
When you think of dentistry, you probably imagine your dentist with a mirror in one hand and a dental tool in the other. But there is another important professional working behind the scenes and, in many cases, face to face with patients too. That person is the Clinical Dental Technician, often called a CDT. These professionals combine technical artistry with clinical skill to design, make, and fit dentures that restore smiles, confidence, and comfort. Have you ever watched one of those “point of view” videos where someone walks through a city and you feel like you are right there with them? Well, we have made one for you. Think of it as your personal guided tour from St James Street Station straight to Swissedent Denture Clinic and Bremadent Dental Laboratory in Walthamstow without the guesswork or the wrong turns.
Whether you are visiting us for the first time, returning for a fitting, or just curious about where all the magic happens, this video gives you a sneak peek of the local area and exactly how to find us with ease. So grab your cup of tea or coffee, hit play on the video below, and let’s take a stroll together through our corner of East London. If you have ever opened your bathroom cabinet, reached for your dentures, and found a crack or worse a clean break, you are not alone. Denture breakages are far more common than you might think. At Swissedent Denture Clinic, we see everything from a small hairline crack to dentures that have split clean in half after years of loyal service. So why do dentures break, and what can you do to prevent it from happening again? Let us dive into it, with a touch of humour, honesty, and good old-fashioned dental wisdom.
The Dentistry Show London 2025 has wrapped up, and what a fantastic event it was. Thousands of dental professionals filled the halls to discover new innovations, connect with colleagues, and learn from speakers across the profession. For me and the Bremadent Dental Laboratory team, this year was particularly special because I had the privilege of taking to the stage for not one but two sessions.
Looking back, I am grateful for the turnout, the questions, the conversations, and the chance to shine a light on the often-hidden world of the dental lab. Both sessions were designed to be dentist friendly, honest, and insightful, and from the feedback we received, they struck the right balance of education and entertainment. Dentures have come a long way since the days of wooden teeth and clunky plates. Today, modern dentures are made with precision materials, advanced techniques, and a touch of artistry. The right set of dentures should feel comfortable, look natural, and restore confidence in everyday life. But here is the tricky part: not every clinic is the same. Choosing where to go can be overwhelming when you are faced with so many options across the UK.
That is why we have put together this guide to the top five denture clinics in the UK. These are clinics that have earned their reputations for quality care, excellent craftsmanship, and patient satisfaction. If you are getting new dentures, you will hear your dentist or clinical dental technician talk about something called the bite registration stage. It might sound technical, but do not worry. We will break it down into plain language and explain why it is one of the most important steps in creating dentures that feel comfortable, look natural, and let you eat your favourite meals without worry.
At Swissedent Denture Clinic we see the bite registration stage as the moment where your smile and your bite start coming together. Think of it as the blueprint that guides everything else. Without it, your new dentures would be like a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. If you are considering getting dentures, one of the first questions that usually pops into your mind is “How many appointments will this take?” It is a fair question. Life is busy, no one wants to spend endless hours at the dental clinic, and at the same time you want the reassurance that your new dentures will be made carefully and properly. The truth is that dentures are not something that can be rushed. They need to be tailored to your mouth, your bite and your smile. Think of it as ordering a bespoke suit rather than something straight off the rack.
In this blog we are going to walk you through the journey of denture making step by step, so you know exactly what to expect. The process usually involves a series of appointments, each one with its own purpose. By the end, you will have a comfortable set of dentures that look natural and help you eat, speak and smile with confidence. |
