Chrome Dentures | Swissedent Dental Dentures Clinic in London, UK
'Chrome Dentures' are the gold standard in removable partial dentures to replace any number of missing teeth. 'Chrome Dentures' are made out of a light alloy metal that is medically approved , missing teeth is replaced with acrylic teeth and is attached to the chrome denture that fits securely behind the natural teeth, which adds confidence when speaking and allows for a good chewing experience.
The design of a 'Chrome Denture' is custom made precisely to the patients mouth, with the aim of making them discreet and thinner than conventional acrylic dentures, this makes the overall denture feel smaller, lighter, inconspicuous and easy to adapt to.
They are held in the mouth by clasps attached to the framework, metal clasps have a function of holding the 'Chrome Denture' firmly and giving extra grip, it might be noticeable when smiling or talking as the positioning of the clasps depends on the natural teeth available. In certain cases, the clasps can be replaced with gum coloured flexible clasps instead of metal, which is a called a 'Hybrid Chrome Denture'.
'Chrome Dentures' are precisely made out Cobalt Chrome (CoCr) alloy which is made for strength and durability. 'Cobalt Chrome Alloy' contains metal and is not suitable for patients with allergies to metal.

Key benefits of 'Chrome Dentures':
Easy to adapt to:
Light alloy metal is used to make a 'Chrome Denture', the maximum thickness is 1.8mm which allows for free movement of the tongue and is designed to be minimal without covering the mouth.
Comfortable:
The framework in the middle is made out of a light alloy metal (Cobalt Chrome) and has acrylic teeth attached to the framework to replace the missing teeth. It's easy to adapt to with the maximum thickness at 1.8 mm, which allows the tongue to glide over it comfortably. It is designed to be discreet, seat firmly and secure whilst eating and speaking.
Blends in naturally:
Following 'Cobalt Chrome Partial' design principles, we discreetly design the framework behind the teeth, the only area that is shown is the acrylic, the acrylic is of a gum colour and blends in naturally.
Accurately fitting & Secure:
Metal clasps and metal rests are added onto natural teeth to hold the 'Chrome Denture' firmly and for extra grip and can be replaced with gum coloured flexible clasps if the metal clasps are visible.
Strong & Durable:
The material is a light alloy metal, 'Cobalt Chrome'. It's a medically approved, biocompatible material and has high mechanical properties in strength and durability which is suitable for partial dentures and is also suitable for patients with a hard bite.
